Design as a second life. After studying Political Sciences and Marketing Management, Alain Gilles went on to work in the financial world. But one has to live one's own life. So, thanks to the moral support of his wife, he went back to studying Industrial design in France. He assisted Xavier Lust in his creations, but was eventually hired by Quinze & Milan before graduating. He worked for Arne Quinze for two and a half years as designer, developer and project manager on several high profile projects for world-renowned architects and editors.
He opened is own studio in 2007 in order to pursue his own dreams and develop his personal approach to product design, furniture design, art direction and interior architecture. He has since started to collaborate with several international firms, such as Urbastyle and Bonaldo. 

 

 

                                                    

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nicolas Le NOCHER  (Studio Paul)

 

 

   

 

 Trained at the Ecole de Design Nantes, Nicolas joined WHO IS PAUL? in September 2007. Coming from the generation where the impact of creating the environment is important, he has that mixture of respect and sensitivity for the nature that surrounds us. His first creation, the couch ORGANIC is a success. From the architectural school of Bordeaux graduated in 1978, he created in 1980 his own agency “Raffy & and his name becomes more and more famous in the international shows. In the 90‘s Eric Raffy started to work in the urban development and blend with genius design and architectural. With the help of his wife, Nadine, decorator, he succeeds in all what he did. Today 50 years old, this hyper active person travels all over the 5 continents in order to find his inspiration and his addiction to emotion. Against any form of cartesianism he prefers to feel the things and stages the things. All what he sees this an object that be transformed with no limit, able to create an emotion, a full culture.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Cedric RAGOT

 

 

A graduate of ENSCI-Workshops in Paris in 1999, Cedric Ragot creates his studio in 2002 at the age of 29 years.
 His desire to create without restraint, spiritual and emotional desires of the individual led him to always associate with the functional aspect of an object a solid proposition in concept and image.
Accommodating creative imagination and industrial reality, it is involved in all creative fields: the mass distribution exceptional product.
He draws for large publishers like Cappelini, Rosenthal and Roche Bobois, for Swarovski and LVMH group Puig in the luxury industry, but also Krups - Group SEB in the world of appliances.
Meanwhile he is working with contemporary art galleries to develop exceptional pieces in the world of furniture and decoration.
